This new edition, the seventeenth, has been thoroughly revised and thoughtfully remodelled. He also acted as President of Pharmacy Council of India besides holding other prestigious positions and offices in the country. This Manual is based on the practical approach to pharmaceutical analysis following both instrumental as well as manual presentations, and is designed keeping in view the syllabi of various universities in India and other countries. Viewing all aspects, the book starts with spectrophotometric analysis and covers various aspects of flame photometry, potentiometric titrations, fluorimetry, polarimetry, conductometric titration, refractometry, nepheloturbidimetry and chromatography - thin layer chromatography, paper chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography and high performance thin layer chromatography. Special emphasis has been laid on the interpretations of infrared spectras and mass spectras, Karl Fischer titration and Kjeldahls method.
