TEXTBOOK OF PATHOLOGY (FREE PATHOLOGY QUICK REVIEW)
The aim of this textbook is to focus on pathology. This book contains thoroughly revised and updated material with recent useful information covered in different pathology topics. The revised edition contains 31 chapters distributed into three sections: General pathology (Chapters 1-10), Haematolymphoid system and blood transfusion (Chapters 11-15), and systemic pathology (Chapters 16-31); besides there are two Appendices (I. Basic Diagnostic Cytology and Clinical Pathology, and II. Normal Values). A new chapter on ?Blood Banking and Transfusion? (Chapter 15) and another on Clinical Pathology integrated with Appendix I on cytology, have been added keeping in view the recommendations of the NMC. All the topics in different chapters have undergone thorough revision and updating in the study of diseases. Newer information sourced from recent advances has been inserted between the lines in various aspects of diseases. The pathology of COVID-19 and its impact on different organ-systems has been specifically incorporated in different chapters. At the beginning of every chapter, an overview of the chapter has been given along with a list of topics to be covered under major headings in that chapter. At the end of every topic, a gist of that topic has been cherry-picked in a box as Key Points. These salient features of the covered topic, presented in bulleted points, are meant for a rapid revision in ultra-short time. This edition is a comprehensive text of pathology meant primarily for undergraduate students of pathology, however, the practicing clinicians and students of other branches of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, alternate system of medicine, and paramedical courses would also find it useful.
