He is an eminent academician and delivered lectures at many national and international conferences. He was President (1999-2000) of Maharashtra Chapter of Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists. He has been awarded several international, national and state level awards for his academic and research achievements, and adjudged the ?best teacher? by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. He is recipient of JWC Innovation Award (UK) for his work on wound infections. Megha Rastogi MD (Microbiology) has completed her postgraduation in microbiology from MIMSR Medical College, Latur, Maharashtra.
