He has been teaching ophthalmology for the last three decades. In addition to this book, he has written many popular books. His other books Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Practical Ophthalmology, Anatomy and Physiology of Eye, Theory and Practice of Squint and Orthoptics, Ophthalmic Nursing, Modern Ophthalmology for Ayurveda Students, Ophthalmology: Quick Text Revision and MCQs and Ophthalmology: Viva Questions and Answers have been well received by the medical students. Dr Khurana has published more than 150 scientific papers in national and international journals of repute. He has also contributed several chapters for four postgraduate reference books published in India and abroad. He has also been editor of the Haryana Journal of Ophthalmology and North Zone Journal of Ophthalmology. He was awarded WHO Fellowship for higher studies at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He was also selected for a course and awarded Certificate in Tropical Ophthalmology at International Centre for Eye Health, Institute of Ophthalmology, University of London, UK. He has been honored with Distinguished Author Award by the Federation of Educational Publishers of India, Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology by HOS, and an Excellence Award by Strabismological Society of India. Rashmin A Gandhi FRCS, Editor, and the force behind this volume, is a neuro-ophthalmologist of international repute. After working as consultant neuro-ophthalmologist at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, for 13 years, he is currently visiting consultant neuro-ophthalmologist at Centre for Sight, Hyderabad. He is Managing Director and Founding partner of Beyond Eye Care. He did neuro-ophthalmology fellowship from John Hopkins University, USA. He has contributed several chapters in many books published from India and abroad. He has published eleven papers in peer reviewed journals. He is recipient of many awards including CVA Memorial Award, Young Super Achiever Award, Chennai, Best Associate Consultant of Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, and Award for Academic Excellence, Gujarat. Aruj K Khurana DNB, the other Editor of this volume, a gold medalist, trained at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, is a disciple of Dr Rashmin A Gandhi. Currently consultant, cataract, retina and neuro-ophthalmology services at Nirmal Eye Institute, Rishikesh, has also worked at Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, PGIMS, Rohtak, and Safdarjung Hospital and VMMC, New Delhi. He has more than 30 publications and is a coauthor of eight books on ophthalmology. Devendra Venkatramani DNB, FRCS, FICO, Associate Editor, currently consultant vitreo-retinal surgeon, Laxml Eye Institute, Panvel, is a fellow of LVPEI, Hyderabad. He has been initially trained at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, with Dr Rashmin A Gandhi. He has published papers and contributed chapters in the books. He is winner of Dr SK Endowment and Gold Medal in Neuro-Ophthalmology. Bhawna Khurana MS, DNB, FICO, Associate Editor, currently at Department of Ophthalmology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh, has worked in strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology services at Guru Nanak Eye Center, New Delhi; Nirmal Eye Institute, Rishikesh; and RIO, PGIMS, Rohtak. She has more than 35 publications, several presentations and is coauthor of eight books of ophthalmology
