A K Khurana MS, FAICO, CTO (London), Chief Editor of MSO Series, is currently Senior Professor, Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, PGIMS, University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. He has been teaching ophthalmology for the last more than three decades. In addition to this book, he has written many popular books. His other books, Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Practical Ophthalmology, Anatomy and Physiology of Eye, Theory and Practice of Squint and Orthoptics, and Ophthalmic Nursing, have been well received by the medical students. Dr Khurana has published more than 160 scientific papers in national and international journals of repute. He has also contributed several chapters for four postgraduate reference books published in India and abroad. He has also been Editor of Haryana Journal of Ophthalmology and North Zone Journal of Ophthalmology. Presently he is Editor of Indian Journal of Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology (IJSPO). He was awarded WHO Fellowship for higher studies at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He was also selected for a course and awarded Certificate in Tropical Ophthalmology(CTO) at International Centre for Eye Health, Institute of Ophthalmology, University of London, UK. He has been honored with Distinguished Author Award by the Federation of Educational Publishers of India, Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology by HOS, an Excellence Award by Strabismological Society of India, Fellowship of All India Collegiums of Ophthalmologists (FAICO), and Gold Medal for excellence in ophthalmology, by Intraocular Implant and Refractive Society of India (IIRSI) in 2014. Sunandan Sood MS, Editor of this volume, is currently Professor and Head, Department of Ophthalmology and also Chief of Vitreo- Retina Sevices at GMCH, Chandigarh. He was awarded WHO Fellowship in Vitreo-Retina at Doheny Eye Institute, University of Southern California, USA, 1996. He has published more than 100 papers in national and international journals. He was bestowed with national award for outstanding services in community ophthalmology by NSPB, and excellence award by HOS. Mehul Shah MS, FRF, FMRF, Editor, a vitreo-retina fellow from Retina Foundation and Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, is presently Medical Director, Drashti Netralaya, Dahod. He has developed special interest in ocular trauma. He has published 45 peer reviewed and 8 non-peer reviewed articles, out of which 14 are in the field of ocular trauma. He has also contributed 3 chapters in different books. Shreya Shah DOMS, Editor, a Pediatric Ophthalmologist, was trained at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai and by ORBIS-Flying Eye Hospital. She is presently Administrative Director, Drashti Netralaya, Dahod. She was privileged to work with legends like Dr Robert Sargent, Dr Edward Rabb, Dr Aaron Fay and Dr Eugin Howelston from whom she learned nuances of strabismus and plastic surgery. She delivered more than 50 presentations in international and at least 100 presentations in national fora. She has published 45 peer reviewed and 8 non-peer reviewed articles, out of which 14 are in the field of ocular trauma. She has also contributed 3 chapters in different books. Aruj K Khurana DNB, FICO, Editor, a Gold Medalist, currently Fellow, Vitreo-Retina Services, Narayana Nethralaya, Bengaluru, Karnataka, has been trained at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. He has special interest in glaucoma and vitreo-refinal disorders. Formerly, he was consultant at Nirmal Eye Institute, a Sankara Eye Care Institution, Rishikesh and has also worked at Department of Ophthalmology, Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Jolly Grant, Dehradun, Department of Ophthalmology, VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi and Regional Institute of Ophthalmology PGIMS, Rohtak. He has co-authored eight books of ophthalmology and has more than 30 publications to his credit. Bhawna Khurana MS, DNB, FICO, Editor, is currently Fellow, Orbit, Oculoplasty and Oncology Services, Narayana Nethralaya Bengaluru, Karnataka. Formerly, she was consultant at Nirmal Eye Institute, a Sankara Eye Care Institution, Rishikesh. She has also worked at Department of Ophthalmology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh, Guru Nanak Eye Centre (GNEC), MAMC, New Delhi, and Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, PGIMS, Rohtak. She has co-authored eight books of ophthalmology and has more than 35 publications and several presentations to her credit.
